| “ | Three members of that L.A. band were previously in Touch - very good, psych-prog band responsible for classic 20/20 Sound LP (from 1969). Five years later (under Stepson name] they have recorded a great, raucous and high-energy hard blues rock album which was like a cross between MC5, Bloodrock, Free, Mountain and Blue Cheer - with overdriven fuzz guitar, spontaneous and dirty vocals and pounding rhythm section to the fore. lt’s the guitar which makes that LP so special - with raw and totally explosive sound coming straight from the amplifier. Unfortunately, after being released in summer 1974, the record went completely unnoticed and as a result the band split up in early 1975.
